Waylon Ray McPherson
January 11, 2023 ~ July 1, 2025 (age 2)
Waylon Ray McPherson, lovingly known as “WayWay”, was a beacon of joy and love to all who knew him. Born on January 11, 2023, to Trinity Michelle Christopher and Isaac Stephen McPherson, Waylon's infectious smile and boundless enthusiasm for life made a lasting impression on everyone he met. His journey on this earth came to a peaceful end at his residence on July 1, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Waylon's zest for life was evident in his love for the outdoors. His excitement for Mickey Mouse was matched only by his passion for playing outside, where he created countless cherished memories. Four-wheeling and fishing with his dad were among his most treasured activities, as they were not just hobbies but special moments of bonding with his father. Waylon's adoration for his baby sister, Willow Diane McPherson, was immense, and his care for her was a testament to his loving nature. He also enjoyed “Waylon and Mommy movie nights”, coloring, loved to snuggle, and play with his sister. There was rarely a time where he wasn’t laughing or smiling.
The simple pleasures in life brought Waylon immense happiness. The act of eating food never failed to make him smile, a joy that was contagious to all around him. He reveled in helping his dad mow the yard, taking pride in the work they accomplished together. Waylon's laughter would echo through the air as he played in the rain or rode the mule at the lake with his paw paw. Each of these moments was a reflection of a life lived with pure happiness and love.
Waylon was a cherished member of a large and loving family. He was the adored grandson of Beth and Ronnie Apple, Danny and Britta McPherson, William "Paul" Christopher, and Kim Younger. His great-grandparents, Aileen McPherson, Joe McPherson, Steve Robistow (Gail), Eddie Boswell (Gail), Joyce Roney, Donna Christopher, and his great-great-grandmother, Faylene Bowman, all held a special place in his heart. Waylon was a beloved nephew to his uncles, Garrett Dail (Brittani), Aaron McPherson, Edwin "EJ" Stewart, and Gabriel Christopher. He was a cherished nephew to his aunts, Alexis McPherson and Serenity Christopher. As well as many other family members.
Waylon's life, though brief, was a testament to the power of love and family. He walked in faith, embodying the Christian values that were instilled in him from a young age. His presence was a light in the lives of those he loved, and his memory will continue to shine brightly.
Preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Linda Lowe, James Christopher, Benny Younger, Geneva and Dewey Apple, Waylon's spirit is now reunited with those who have gone before him. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and the simple joys of life—a legacy that will be carried forward by those who loved him.
As we say goodbye to our dear Waylon, we hold tight to the memories of his smile that could brighten any room and the love he had for his family, which was as vast as the sky. Waylon Ray McPherson, our precious boy, will forever be in our hearts, leaving behind a trail of light and love that will never fade.
