Betty Story Sykes Brown, 91 passed away peacefully on January 30,2022 at Springview Assisted Living in Burlington.
Betty was born in Alamance County on January 23,1931 the daughter of the late Samuel Story and Katherine Bryant Story. She retired from Drapery Boutique after 20 years and enjoyed her many grandchildren and shopping. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband S.T. Sykes and her second husband, J.R. Brown and a son Randy Sykes as well as a sister and two brothers.
Surviving are two daughters, Debbie Callahan of Graham and Jami Scott of Liberty; a son Tim Sykes of Stone Mountain, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Alamance Memorial Park with Rev. Wade Crabtree officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Jami Scott. You may share an online condolence by visiting www.omegafsc.com.
