George A. Spahr, 94 ,of Warren, IN, passed away at 1:15 AM, on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Heritage Pointe in Warren, IN. He was born on Sunday, July 25, 1915, in Huntington County, IN.
Mr. Spahr was a 1933 graduate of Warren High School. He was a life long resident and farmer in Huntington County. He was a sports enthusiast, and loved Purdue basketball. He was on the Board of Director's of Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren for many years and was a longtime member of the Solid Rock ( Warren United Methodist Church).
He married Vera E. (Schweikhardt) on October 21, 1936 in Jackson Twp.-Wells County. He was the son of the late Glen C. Spahr and the late Ethel Pearl (Kariger) Spahr.
Survivors include his Wife-Vera E. (Schweikhardt) Spahr of Warren, Daughter-Marcia (Husband, Wendell) Jackson of Warren, Sons-David A. (Wife, Wanda) Spahr, Max (Wife, Lois) Spahr of Warren, Dan (Wife, Pam) Spahr of Bethpage, Tenn. 15-Grandchildren, 40-Great Grandchildren and 5-Great-Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Father-Glen C. Spahr, Mother-Ethel Pearl (Kariger) Spahr, Brothers-Wilbur Spahr, Sam Spahr, Russell Spahr and Sister-Josephine Spahr. 470, George A. Spahr
