Susie E. Spahr, 86, a native of Wells County, died at 9:50 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Memorial Home at Warren. Mrs. Spahr formerly resided at 6810S Warren Rd. in Huntington County and was employed in the physical therapy
department of the United Methodist Home from August 1962 until retiring in July 1989. She was a 1930 graduate of Warren High School.

She was born in Wells County May 31, 1912 to James A. and Della B. Terhune Hunnicutt. Her marriage May 21, 1933 at LaFountaine was to Wilbur K. Spahr, who died June 14, 1994.

Surviving are a son, Keith A. Spahr of Warren; a daughter, Mrs. Phill (Sally) Dawkins of Rockford, Ill.; a brother, Ralph Hunnicutt of Poneto; two sisters, Nevo Beekman of Warren and Mrs. Glenn (Cecile) Roof of Waynedale; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Applegate Chapel of the Warren United Memorial Home with Rev. Mike Beall and Rev. John Bellante officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at Warren. Calling hours at the Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown & Son Chapel, at Warren, will be Saturday from 2 to 8 p.m. and on Sunday at the Applegate Chapel
for one hour prior to services.
