Chad H. Fornshell, 67, Osprey, died Aug. 20, 2002.
He was born Aug. 24, 1934, in Marion, Ind., and came to Osprey in 1991 from Kettering, Ohio. He retired in 1991 from the Kettering City School District, where he was supervisor of special education services. In 1984, he was named Ohio's Special Educator of the Year. He graduated from Indiana University.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Clara; daughters Jayne Gottfried of Granville, Ohio, Cheryl Bartlett of Huber Heights, Ohio, and Michele Chesson of Simi Valley, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Lori Black of Sarasota; a stepson, David Meskimen of Germantown, Ohio; a stepsister, Nancy Robbins of Portland, Ind.; a brother, Dave of Columbus, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be in Ohio. Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation, 1501 N.W.
