Joyce J. Wehr, 83, of Markle, IN, died Sunday, July 27, 2014, at 2:20 p.m. at the Markle Health and Rehabilitation Center, in Markle.
Mrs. Wehr graduated from Jefferson Township High School. She worked for many years at Square D, in Huntington, where she had served as president of IAM Local 2574. She was a past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Methodist Church, both in Mt. Etna.
She was born Jan. 23, 1931, in Huntington County to Laurance and Ruth Cramer Smith.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Wehr, of Champaign, IL; five sons, Colter (Cynthia) Wehr, Barry Wehr and Danny (Karen) Wehr, all of Huntington; Alan (Diana) Wehr, of Fort Wayne; and Rodney (Nancy) Wehr, of Andrews; a sister, Jackie Blinn, of Wells County; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. 470, Joyce J.
