Helen Keller, 78, 219 W. Second St., Warren, died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday (May 24, 1992) at Caylor-Nickel Clinic Hospital, Bluffton.

Mrs. Keller was a life resident of Huntington County and a homemaker. She was a member of the Jefferson Neighbors Club, Idle Hour Club, Jefferson Center United Methodist Women's Club and the Jefferson Center United Methodist Church.

She was born Jan. 1, 1914, in Jefferson Township, Huntington County, to John and Thora Mabel Spahr Smith. Her marriage was Oct. 10, 1936 to Claude E. Keller. He died July 26,1991.

She is survived by two sons, Richard, Sweetser, and David, Warren; a daughter, Mrs: Jack (Diane) Luckey, Warren; two brothers, William G. Smith, Huntington, and Clarence Smith, Warren; a sister, Lesta Detamore, Warren; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Two sons, Wayne and John, and a brother, Lawrence, preceded her in death.
A brother is deceased.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday and until 2 p.m. Sunday at H. Brown and Son Funeral Home, Warren. Rev. Chip Gast, assisted by Rev. Steve Laue, will conduct services at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Warren.

Memorial contributions to the United Methodist Church in Warren or the 4-H clubs of Huntington County are preferred.
