Bruce Dunn, age 87, of Liberty went to Heaven to be with his wife on Tuesday, April 4, 2017.

Mr. Dunn was born in Gibsonville, NC on December 27, 1929 to George and Bannie Wagoner Dunn.

Bruce served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was retired from Olympic Products in Pleasant Garden, a division of Cone Mills Corporation. Bruce had dedicated his life to following Jesus Christ and was a member of Monnett Road Baptist Church in Julian.

In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Dunn, daughter, Betty Linnins and brother, Junior Dunn.

He is survived by his daughters, Jeanette M. Rollins and husband Kevin of Asheboro and Patricia James of Asheboro; son-in-law, David Linnins of Asheboro; grandchildren, Diane James Antill and husband John of Asheboro, Ivan Milton and wife Stephanie of Liberty, Abigail "Abi" Bullins of Asheboro, Jacob Rollins of Asheboro, Sandra Dawes and husband Adrian of Asheboro, Jay Connelly and wife Wendy of Pomaria, SC, and Tammy Bouknight and husband Jamie of Pomaria, SC, Donald Stanfield of Asheboro, John Stanfield of Asheboro; 18 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

A memorial service, with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard, will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Monnett Road Baptist Church, 6033 Monnett Road in Julian with Rev. Ron Kimble and Pastor Kevin Rollins officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
