Cedar Grove.–Miss Hazel Sharpe became the bride of Staff Sgt. Harold Maxwell Sykes on November 13 at the home of the Rev. E. C. Upchurch of Wake Forest.
The bride wore a suit of muted blue with black accessories. Her corsage was of pink roses.
Mrs. Sykes is the daughter of W. J. Sharpe and the late Mrs. Sharpe of Cedar Grove. She is a member of the Mebane School faculty.
Sergeant Sykes is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Sykes of Efland and has just returned from 30 months' service in the Southwest Pacific.
