Mr. Mitchel Allen Rainey, age 62, entered into rest at his home.

The family will host a Celebration of Life service on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Kerrs Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, 2980 Kerrs Chapel Rd, Elon, NC with Mr. Rainey's brother-in-law, David Gordon officiating.

Mr. Rainey was born on December 4, 1962 in Rockingham, NC to the late James Allen Rainey and Linda P. Kearney.

He was a graduate of Eastern Alamance High School in Mebane, North Carolina.

Mitchel was self-employed for most of his life and enjoyed raising and training horses to participate in barrel racing.

Additionally, Mitchel liked to collect items that he found at various sales.

Mr. Rainey was preceded in death by his father listed above.

Survivors include his mother, Linda P. Kearney of Burlington, NC; sisters, Renda Rainey Riggins, Tina (David) Gordon both of Burlington, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
