Obituary Online notes for Lionel Crouse RUDD
Lionel Crouse Rudd, 68, of the Calvary Church community, surrounded by his loving family, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 19, 2012.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Robertson and Rev. Dave Huggins officiating. The burial will follow at Reidlawn Cemetery.

Lionel was a native of Rockingham County and the son of the late Lon A. and Eloise Talley Rudd. He was part owner and parts manager of Williams-Trull Company and retired after 45 years of service. He later worked part time at Big Apple Farm Supply. Lionel was a faithful and longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon, Sunday school teacher and choir member. His sense of humor and fun outgoing personality would always light up the room. Without doubt, he was an avid true blue, Tar Heel fan. He loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandsons.

He is survived by wife, Lois Duke Rudd of the home; his daughter, Emily Rudd Moore and husband, Jason of Reidsville; his grandsons, Lane and Caden Moore; special nieces, Kimberly Wyatt and Phyllis Cayton and husband, Dean; nephews, Terry Duke and wife, Jana, Tyler Duke and wife, Lynn, Ben Duke and Keith Wyatt; extended family, church family and many friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 21 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for the professional and loving care provided to Lionel by the staff of the ICU unit and Respiratory Department at Annie Penn Hospital and the staff at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 7860 NC 87 North, Reidsville, NC 27320 or Hospice of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
