Mildred Mitchell Walker, 90, of 631 Johnson Avenue, Graham passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 9:08 a.m.
A native of Orange County, she was the wife of the late Willis Warren Walker and the daughter of Charlie Mitchell and Katie Boone Mitchell, both deceased.
Through the years she kept many children in her home. Her love for children and nature ran deep. Mildred was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Graham.
Survivors include a daughter, Alison W. Lopez of Graham; son, Jerry "Tub" Walker and wife Dawn of Burlington; four grandchildren, Meagan L. Nicholson and husband Jeremy, Nick Lopez, Tyler Walker and wife Barbara and Jordan Walker and special friend Kayla Vickers; and one great-grandchild, Jackson Walker.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Mitchell and Charlie Mitchell. 470, Mildred Bernice Mitchell Walker
