WINDSOR Elaine Jobe Adams, 82, a native of Orange County, died January 21, 2006 at Three Rivers Nursing Home. A funeral was conducted Monday at Cashie Baptist Church by the Rev. Dennis Conner and the Rev. Jack Byrd. Burial was in Edgewood Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the Bertie County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 74, Windsor, NC 27983. Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, was in charge. Mrs. Adams was a member of Cashie Baptist Church and the Baptist Women. She was retired teacher’s aide and also taught knitting. Survivors include her husband, Frank Winston Adams of Windsor; two sons, Michael Adams of Ahoskie and Franklin Adams of Manteo; three sisters, Margaret J. Hicks of Elon, Marie J. Ashley of Meban and Sarah J. Tolar of Cedar Grove; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
