Doris Roberson Dodson Elliott, age 90, of 2209 Burch Bridge Road, passed away Friday, Jan. 20, 2012 at Hospice Home.
A native of Granville County, she was the wife of the late Reginald Lester Dodson and daughter of the late Walter and Effie Roberson.
She was a retired seamstress in the textile industry, a member of Zion Christian Church and a member of the Women's Fellowship of the church. She enjoyed fishing, sewing and loved playing dominos with her friends.
Survivors include her daughters, Dot Wright and her special friend Bobby Byrd and Joyce Smith and husband Billy, all of Burlington; sisters, Ruth Jeffcoat of Oxford and Helen Parham of Mebane; grandchildren, Karen Boley and husband Kelly, Beth Coble and husband Tim, Brona Frizell, James Dodson and wife Fran, Angela Dodson, Larry Dodson Jr. and wife Lynn and Michael Dodson; 13 great- grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Lester Edward Dodson and Larry Gene Dodson; and seven siblings.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. George M. "Jack" Phillips, pastor of Zion Christian Church. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Mrs. Elliott will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service. 470, Doris Roberson Dodson Elliott
