MEBANE - Lillian Mae Sharpe, 87, died Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Hawfields Presbyterian Home.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph Calus and Lessie Graham Sharpe.
She was a former school teacher at Southern High School where she taught for 25 years.
She was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion Christian Church where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and was the financial secretary for 53 years. She was a big supporter of the Guide Post, member of the Friendly Garden Club, the Genealogy Society and the National Education Association. She was well known for her pies and cakes. The family would like to send special thanks to her church family, friends and neighbors.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Bessie Hedrick, Kathleen Parker and Mary Alice Trinkler. 470, Lillian Mae Sharpe
