David Walker, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on May 1, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on March 24, 1969, to the late Jimmie Walker Sr. and Mary Whitacre Walker.
David's spirit is carried on by his mother, Mary Whitacre Walker, who survives him. He was a beacon of strength and love for his daughter, Samantha Boggs, and her husband, Michael. His legacy continues to shine brightly through his grandsons, Luke and Colton Boggs, who were the apple of his eye.
Though preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Walker Sr., and his beloved granddaughter, Ayvah Glenn Boggs, David's memory will live on in the hearts of his family.
He leaves behind a close-knit family, including his brother, Jimmie Walker Jr. and his wife Ronda; his sisters, Angela Conner and her husband Ronald, and Misty Mize and her husband Curtis. His nieces and nephews, Ronald “Trey” Conner and his wife Charlotte, Kathryn and her husband Kendall, Jimmie Walker III and his wife Kristina, Jacob Conner and his wife Catilyn, Lezlee Walker and her signifcant other Anthony, John Mize, and Jesse Mize, along with nine great nieces and nephews, will remember their uncle with fondness and deep appreciation for the moments they shared and a special friend Pam Taylor.
David was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in the embrace of nature. His love for the mountains was only surpassed by the love he had for his family. He was a skilled pool player, often found cue in hand and sharing laughter with friends and loved ones. His grandsons, Luke and Colton, were his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was playing in the backyard or teaching them the finer points of outdoor life.
The family will receive friends on Sunday May 4, 2025 from 4pm-6pm at McClure Funeral Service in Graham. A private graveside service will take place in The Walker Family Cemetery. The family would like thank the staff at AuthoraCare for their outstanding care and support. 262, David Walker
