BURLINGTON — Mrs. Joyce Berrong Neely, 65, of 524 Baldwin Road, Burlington died at her residence on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011 at 9:50 p.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Douglas “Doug” Neely, who survives, and the daughter of Boyd Berrong and Ruby Clark Berrong, both deceased. Joyce was a former employee of Burlington Coat Factory and a member of Swepsonville Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include three daughters, Denise Neal and husband Randy of Burlington, Diane Duncan and husband Lee of Haw River and Sheila Brown of the home; one son, Jeff Neely of Burlington; and one brother, James Berrong and wife Jane of Norfolk, Va.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Steve Mc-Gowan. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson FuneralHomeandCrematory in Graham onWednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. At other times they will be at the residence.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Hospice and the nurses for the personal care given to Joyce.
