Mr. Matthew Dylan Cobb, 16, of 4518 Springbrook Drive, Burlington died at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 3:17 p.m.
He was born in Orange County on December 13, 1995 and was a student at Southern Alamance High School.
Survivors include his mother and step father, Rhonda Wiles Sykes and Steve Sykes of the home; his father, Gary Wade Cobb of Burlington; two sisters, Chelsie Matherly of Burlington and Ashley Cobb of Snow Camp; three brothers, Caleb Cobb, Jonathon Willets and Blake Roberts, all of the home; maternal grandfather, Ronnie Wiles of Mocksville; maternal grandmother, Dora Hutchens of Whitsett; maternal grandmother, Dee Willets of Burlington; paternal grandmother, Kathy Kingrey of Simpsonville, SC; paternal grandparents, Wade and Donna Cobb of Burlington; and maternal grandmother, Marilyn Sprouse of Greensboro.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. At other times they will be at his residence and the residence of his father, Gary Cobb, 6569 Union Ridge Road, Burlington, NC 27217.
Contributions may be made in loving memory of Matthew Dylan Cobb for his funeral fund to Rich & Thompson Funeral Service Inc., P.O. Box 658, Burlington, NC 27216.
