Marguerite Fudge, age 85, of Eaton, OH passed away Sunday, April 26, 2009 at the Greenbriar Nursing Center, Eaton, OH. She was born October 26, 1923 in Richmond, IN to the late Ray and Delia (Price) Root. She was a 1941 graduate of Lanier High School. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Eaton, OH and the Southwestern Buckeyes Camping Club. She served as past secretary of the Ohio State Association of National Campers and Hikers. She was Secretary and Treasurer of S.W. Buckeyes Masonic Camping Club. Served as Treasurer and Financial Secretary of the Grace Lutheran Church, Eaton, OH and was an advisor to the Luther League.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Glenn R. Fudge whom she married May 23, 1941 and he passed away on December 14, 1997; and daughter Connie Sue (Fudge) Dempsey who passed away December 19, 2004.
She is survived by her brother Robert L. Root of Ft. Myers, FL, cousin Don Root of Fairborn, OH; niece Marcia Pack of Naples, Fl; nephew Robert A. Root of Ft. Myers, FL; niece Lori Kalies of Eaton, OH; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 29, 2009 with Rev. Warren Reichert officiating. Burial will be in Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria, OH.
