Obituary Online notes for “Jo” Josephine Marie ULBRICH
JOSEPHINE MARIE ULBRICH WELLS WOOD, 90, departed this life and transitioned into the next on November 29, 2012.

Born April 19, 1922, she was a lifelong Memphian, a graduate of Humes High School Class of 1939 and a member of St. James Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by Frederick Joseph Wells, Sr. in 1978 with whom she had 4 children: Robert William Wood in 1991 who graced her senior years; and a daughter, Frances Wells Gross Parker of South Carolina.

She is survived by her daughters, Catherine Mensi (Frank Joseph), and Linda Mann (John) both of Memphis; and a son, Frederick Joseph (Carole) Wells, Jr. of Owens Crossing, AL; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was truly loved and for years seemed ageless as matriarch of her family. She leaves numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and dear friends.

Visitation will be held at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar on Monday, December 3 from 5-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m.

The funeral will be Tuesday, December 4 at 1 p.m .at St. James Catholic Church, 4180 Leroy Ave with interment immediately following in Calvary Cemetery.

The family requests memorial donations be made in her name to the donor's choice.
