Sallie Ann Page Mills, 94, of Morehead Nursing Center, died on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Morehead Memorial Hospital.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 13, at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 361 Mt. Carmel Church Road.
Mrs. Mills was born in Rockingham County, to the late Logan Jackson and Carrie Smith Page. She was a homemaker and an accomplished seamstress. She was a longtime and faithful member of Happy Home Christian Church and was recently recognized as the oldest member of the church.
Mrs. Mills was preceded in death by her husband, Giles Wesley "Billy" Mills; her sisters, Kate Dye, Janie Strader, Etta Collins, Mae Ellington, Lettie Ellington and Bertha Powell; her brothers, Shirley Page, William Page and Edward Page.
She is survived by her sons, Wesley Mills and wife, Elizabeth of Gibsonville and Steve Mills and wife, Carol of Mayodan; grandchildren, Karen Belton and husband, Trey, Tamara Mills, Craig Mills and Jodi Mills; great grandchildren, Logan, Sydney and MacKenzie Belton; brother, Robert Page and wife, Ivie of Ruffin; sisters-in-law, Beatrice Page of Reidsville and Doris Page of Ruffin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
