Ruth E. Dafler, 91, of West Alexandria, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Ind.
Born Oct. 27, 1913, in Preble County, she was the daughter of Henry and Clara (Sommer) Pence.
She was a graduate of Monroe High School. Mrs. Dafler was a farmer in Preble County all her life.
She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, West Alexandria.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Dafler, in 1991; and a brother, Earl Pence.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Katherine Pence of New Paris; and four cousins, Mary Jane Seim of Findlay, Hugh Stiver and Fern Ludy, both of Eaton, and Mary Hypes of Lewisburg.
Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 17, at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, West Alexandria, with the Rev. Daniel Snider and the Rev. J. Herman Bassler officiating.
Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria.
