GREENSBORO Elva J. Riley, "E.J.," 59, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016. E.J. was born on September 26, 1957 in Greensboro, NC, the daughter of James Wycliff and Ruby Louis Baldwin Foster.
She worked with Ross Dress for Less as a manager.
She loved the beach, her grandchildren and any time she could spend with family and friends.
She spent most weekends bundled up at different ice rinks, cheering for her son and his hockey team. She will be deeply missed.
E.J. was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry Wayne Riley, in 2014.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Justin Riley of Greensboro, NC and Jason Riley of New Hampshire, special daughter, Crystal Faulkner of Greensboro; sister, Brenda Stewart of Burlington, brother, James Foster of Greensboro and sister-in- law, Kay R. Berkeley and husband Bill of Gibsonville; niece, Ashley Deel of Greensboro and nephew, Chad Berkeley of Gibsonville; two grandchildren, Peyton Jean Riley and Hunter James Riley, and their mother, Lindsay Nadratowski.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, 2 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with burial to follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday evening at the funeral home.
Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel is assisting the Riley family.
