Ryan Neil Shoe, 42, of Graham, North Carolina, passed away on July 31, 2026. He was born on June 25, 1984 to Lawrence "Larry" Shoe and Cheryl "Sherri" Foster. He attended Cape Fear Community College and worked for Atlas Lighting, and most recently was working with Bryan Metts & Associates of Burlington, North Carolina.
Ryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Louis Shoe and Vallie Ingle Shoe, and his uncle, Richard Shoe, as well as his maternal grandfather, Albert Foster Jr.
Other than his parents, he is survived by his sister, Stephanie Shoe Temple and her husband Bryan Temple and two children, Nathan and Patrick Temple, all of Wilmington, NC, as well as his maternal grandmother Margaret McBane Foster, his girlfriend Stacey Kidd, and his lifelong friend Jose Velazquez, all of Graham, NC.
Ryan was also blessed with a large extended family that includes his aunt Sandra Madren Shoe and first cousins, Mike Shoe (Jolee Denny Shoe) and Cinde Shoe (Gina Rhew), all of Burlington, NC; his aunt Peggy Foster Carter (Phil Carter) of Lenior, NC and first cousins Jesse Carter Isley (Ben Isley) of Matthews, NC and Laura Carter Monzon (Walter Monzon) of Pittsboro, NC; his uncle Dennis Foster (Anne Urv Foster) and first cousins Justin Foster (Abby Bailey Foster) and Sarah McBane (Justin Farmer) all of Burlington, NC as well as Ian Foster (Megan Rives Foster) of Haw River, NC; his uncle Mark Foster (Tammy Kirby Foster) and first cousins Casey Foster (Kimberly Church Foster) of Graham, NC and Mekenzie Kirby of Liberty, NC; his uncle Steve Foster (Julie Cooper Foster) of Shallotte, NC and first cousins Whitney Moser (Luke Moser) and Eric Foster (Kat Thomson Foster) of Wilmington, NC.
Ryan enjoyed collecting and playing vintage video games, riding four wheelers, and most of all, hanging out with his friends and family.
He was a kind and gentle soul with a zest for life who left this earth way too soon. We love and miss him deeply.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
