Article:
EDINBURG- A Christian County man and his nephew were killed Tuesday after a piece of farm equipment they were moving snagged a high-voltage rural electric line.
Guy W. Yeaman, 38, and Adam R Yeaman, 14, were pronounced dead in St John's Hospital emergency room at 4:16 p.m. and 4:17 p.m., respectively, according to Sagamon County Coroner, Susan Boone.
The two were working on a family farm2 miles south of Breckenridge and 3 miles west of Edinburg, in northwestern Christian County, at 3:15 p.m.
They were apparently moving the auger by hand, and both were toughing the machine when the implement touched the 7,200-volt line.
"Someone on the scene started CPR, so they were brought by ambulance to St. John's, where they both died." Boone said.
She said the two were preparing to load a tractor-trailer with corn when the accident occurred. She said the boy's father was present, he was not injured.
The accident is being investigated by Christian County authorities. Boone has requested autopsies for the victims with and inquest to be held on a later date.
