Roy “Buck” Paschal Jones
SNOW CAMP — Roy “Buck” Paschal Jones, 64, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 10, 2013.
A native of Johnston County, he was the husband of 43 years to Brenda Qualls Jones who survives.
Roy retired after 28 years as a rural mail carrier in Elon. He was a member of Altamahaw Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He served with Dave Andrews on the Bus Ministry at BaptistTemple. He enjoyed fishing and was a loving and devoted husband, father and “Paw-Paw.”
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Qualls Jones of the home; daughters, Brianna Ford and husband Sam of Clyde, N.C., Misty Ward and husband Bill of Elon, Keela Hyatt and husband Todd of Whitsett and Miranda Hamlett and husband Don of Burlington; eight grandchildren; sisters, Kathy Jones of Snow Camp, Rachel Jones, Sheila Baker and Pam Warren, all of Johnston County, N.C. and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Latham and Laura Lee Jones and a brother, Jessie Jones. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
A celebration of his life will be held Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Walter Jones. The U.S. Army will provide honors at the service.

BURLINGTON — Brenda Qualls Jones, 61, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born on December 28, 1952 to the late Robert William Qualls, Sr. and Gelina Cornelia Montgomery Qualls Couch and was the wife of 43 years to the late Roy “Buck” Paschal Jones.
Brenda was a longtime member of Altamahaw Baptist Church and retired from Carolina Biological. She was devoted to her family and loved her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include her daughters, Misty Ward and husband, Bill of Elon, Keela Hyatt and husband, Dr. Todd Hyatt of Whitsett, Miranda Hamlett and husband, Don of Burlington and Brianna Ford; grandchildren, Tripp Simmons, Taylor Shotwell, Coy Whitesell, Sabrina Loy, Brea McIver, Laci Ward, Dalton Hamlett and Gavin Hamlett; sisters, Shirley Phillips and husband, Dr. Charles Phillips of Gibsonville and Judy Hall and husband,

A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 pm on Monday, July 21, 2014 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Andrew Buehner. The family will receive family and friends from 3-5 pm on Sunday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
