In 1963 Clarence and Opal cofounded Jones Metal Works, Inc. of Greensboro. They worked hand in hand to establish a legacy. She and her husband both loved the beach of South Carolina and bought a small trailer to vacation at Windy Hill in the late 1950s. She enjoyed fishing, crabbing, shelling, flowers, decorating and yard work. She won "The Yard of the Month" many times in Windy Hill. As years went on, Opal and Clarence bought a house in Windy Hill. There are many wonderful memories in the garage of that home of fishfrys and oyster roasts with many friends, neighbors and family present.
"Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: ‘There, she is gone!’ there are other eyes ready to take up the glad shout, ‘Here she comes!’" — Henry van Dyke
She is walking on the Golden Shores again — See you on the other side — Your loving family.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. J.D. Katz, Dr. Gates, and the wonderful people at Clapp’s Nursing Home who cared for and comforted Mrs. Jones and the family. Thank you.
