Mae Bradshaw Scott
GRAHAM — Mrs. Mae Bradshaw Scott, 87, of Graham, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 1 p.m. She was a resident at Alamance Health Care Center.

A native of Chatham County, she was the wife of the late Chester “Chet” E. Scott and daughter of Albert

   V. Bradshaw and Mattie Ada Foushee Bradshaw, both deceased. She was a member of Lowe Memorial Baptist Church.

As a homemaker she was a beloved wife and a very devoted mother. She also had a wealth of knowledge with antiques and the art of furniture restoring that she shared with many people across the state of North Carolina. Some of her greatest passions in life were those of her beloved dogs, the Duke Blue Devil basketball team, her red telephone, or the “hot line” as she called it and her yearly beach trips especially to Topsail Island. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories a beloved brother, Billy R. “Bill” Bradshaw and wife Peggy of Graham; lots of nieces and nephews; and her four precious “adopted grandchildren ,” Aaron, Haley, Maddie and Josh, who were the light of her life.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Travis Dean Scott and Ronnie E. Scott; two sisters, Dot B. Whitesell and Hazel B. Spence; and brother, Albert G. Bradshaw.

A memorial service will be conducted in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Charles Foushee and the Rev. Jerry McCant with the family receiving friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times they will be at the residence of her brother, Bill Bradshaw.

Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
