Mrs. Ruby Lee Robertson
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Ruby Lee Robertson, 82, of 2248 Lee Drive, Burlington, passed away at 12:58 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at the Hospice Home in Burlington.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Desmond Windell “Bud” Robertson Sr. and daughter of the late Cary N. and Addie Farrell Webster. She was retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of St. Mark’s Church. She loved traveling, gardening, cooking and tending to her flowers.
Surviving are a son, D. Windell Robertson Jr. and wife, Phillis, of Charlotte; two grandchildren, Callie McKenzie Robertson, of Chapel Hill and Ford Matthew Robertson, of Baltimore, Md.; a sister, Rachel W.Walters, of Raleigh; and a brother, Allen L. Webster, of Burlington. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Selma Arruda, Nellie Mae Somers, Elizabeth Lynch, Ruth Smith and Viola Webster; and eight brothers,
Frank, Jessie, Herman, Cecil, Dace, Henry, Ralph and Daniel Webster.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at St. Mark’s Church with the Revs. Robert M. Disher Jr. and Ben Bishop officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and other times at the residence.
