BURLINGTON — Mrs. Eugenia Kernodle Pattillo, 91, of 1987 Hilton Road, died at 4:12 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at Alamance Health Care Center after several years of failing health, three weeks critical.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Mr. Charlie Albert Pattillo and the daughter of Mr. W.G. Kernodle and Mrs. Wyona Somers Kernodle, both deceased. She retired after 31 years of teaching in the Alamance and Caswell county schools. She was a member of Kerr’s Chapel Baptist Church, where she served as church treasurer for 25 years.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. G. Tommy Hughes of Graham; three brothers, Mr. Graham S. Kernodle and Mr. C. Donald Kernodle, both of Burlington, and Mr. Alan D. Kernodle of Big Spring, Texas.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at Kerr’s Chapel Baptist Church by the Rev. Marvin Simpson, pastor.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
