Mary Whitesell Welborn


    HAW RIVER — Mary Whitesell Welborn, 93, of 206 Ferris Street, Haw River, N.C., died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011 at Peak Resources of Alamance County, Graham, N.C.
    A native of Alamance County, she was a retired hosiery mill employee, a member of Haw River United Methodist Church, and a charter member of the Haw River Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
    Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Welborn Pagura, of Haw River, N.C.; grandchildren, Beverley Pagura Cash and Bently Pagura; great-grandchildren, Brittany Pagura, Bently Pagura, Anastasia Pagura and Henry Cash.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, William Glenn Welborn; and parents, Henry and Laura Wall Whitesell.
    The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, in the Mc-Clure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Jeanne Neal. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.
