Mrs. Margaret Ellington Lemons
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Margaret Ellington Lemons, 71, of 740 Rainbow Ave., died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000 in her home after two years of failing health.
A native of Wake County, she was the wife of Mr. William S. “Josh” Lemons, who survives, and the daughter of Mr. Grover Wallace Ellington and Mrs. Effle Thornton Ellington, both deceased. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors other than her husband of the home, include two daughters, Mrs. Diane (Rick) Cockman of Graham and Mrs. Sandra (David) Smith of Burlington; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Mr. Harold Ellington, Mr. Horace Ellington and Mr. William T. Ellington.
The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. today at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dr. Michael B. Hobbs, pastor of Davis Street United Methodist Church.
The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home following the funeral and at times at the home of the daughter, Mrs. Diane Cockman, 606 E. Davis St., Burlington.3, Mrs. Margaret Ellington Lemons

BURLINGTON — Mrs. Margaret Ellington Lemons, 71, of 740 Rainbow Ave., died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000 in her home after two years of failing health.

A memorial service was conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dr. Michael B. Hobbs, pastor of Davis Street United Methodist Church.
The family will be at the home of the daughter Mrs. Diane Cockman, 1015 Camelot Lane, Graham.
