Mrs. Lorena Boggs Scoggins McLean
    GIBSONVILLE — Mrs. Lorena Boggs Scoggins McLean, 87, of 712 Dick St. died on Saturday, March 6, 2004 at White Oak Manor. She was born in Guilford County to the late Joseph Harrison and Bessie Lee Whitesell Boggs and was married to James Morris McLean, who survives. She was a former employee of J. Spencer Love Hosiery and was a member of First Baptist Church of Gibsonville where she was a member of the Fogleman Sunday School Class and held various offices in the WMU. Mrs. McLean was also a member of the AIA Senior Citizens Group of Gibsonville and sang with the Singing Seniors of Gibsonville.
    She is survived by her husband of the home; stepdaughter, Linda McLean Davis of Burlington; stepson, James J. McLean of Durham; step grandchildren, Sherry M. Marshburn, Pamela D. Welch, W. Boyce Davis, Beverly D. Melton and James D. McLean and six step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Dorsett Scoggins and her parents.
    The funeral will be held at 3:00 PM today at First Baptist Church of Gibsonville by Rev. Brian Ayers and Rev. J. Billy Graham. Burial will follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 PM today prior to the service at the church and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Gibsonville 221 Piedmont Avenue, Gibsonville, NC 27249.
