Opal Estaline Barber Corwin was born 5 Oct 1915 in Pennington County SD to Arley Barber and Daisy Long, she married Meade Corwin Jan 14 1929 in Pennington County. They lived at Owanka SD, a daughter Arla also died in the flood. As did her mother Daisy Barber. She is survived by her husband and a son Bert Corwin of Rapid City and two grand children Bert C Corwin 11 and Kelley Corwin. They are the fifth generation of Corwins to live in the Rapid City area. Meade and Opal lived in the Braeburn addition of Rapid City at the time of the flood. 470
