MARY "POLLY" LAMBETH JONES
Mary was the fourth daughter born to Josiah & Elizabeth (Loftin) Lambeth. Her story is one of a true Pioneer woman.
On October 31, 1815, she married Electious Jones of North Carolina. The family emigrated to Tennessee in about 1826; where Electious died on July 19, 1828. Two short years later, Mary moved her family back to North Carolina. In 1842, it was on to Missouri, followed by a wagon train trip to California in 1851 with daughter and son-in-law, Pleasant & Elizabeth Feagins.
Mary Jones passed away at "The Mansion on the Prarie," the home of her son, John Wheeler Jones.
