Obituary of Betty Somers
Betty Somers of Chapel Hill, NC died September 27, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Wiley Terrell Simpson of Winter Haven, FL.
She and the late Dr. James Earl Somers had 4 children. Sally Somers Austin (Paul), Peter Galen Somers both of Durham. James Terrell Somers of Pinehurst and Susan Somers Rothschild (William) of Atlanta, GA. They had seven grandchildren: Sarah, John, and Sam Austin, Bevan Healy Somers, Hannah Somers Watkins (Chad), and Elizabeth and Will Rothschild.
There will be a graveside gathering at the Old Chapel Hill Cemetery, Sunday, October 18, 2015 at 2pm.
Memorial donations may be made to the James Earl Somers, MD, Scholarship Fund, Medical Foundation Of North Carolina, Inc., 880 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, Chapel Hill, NC 27514.
