Obituary Online notes for Jack MICHAUX Sr.
Mr. Jack Michaux, 82, of 2737 Horsepen Creek Road, passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at his home.
A graveside service will be held for Mr. Michaux at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Jack Michaux was born in Guilford County, on Nov. 21, 1919, to the late William H. and Olivia Boggs Michaux. He was retired from W.H. Sullivan Company and a member of Guilford College United Methodist Church. Mr. Michaux was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Michaux is survived by his wife of 56 years, Edith Summers Michaux of the home; three sons, Dean Michaux and wife, Edna of Greensboro, Jack Michaux Jr. and wife, Phyllis of Atlanta, Ga., and Wayne Michaux of Cleveland, Ohio; two daughters, Ophelia Moore and husband, Frank of Randleman and Nona Smith and husband, Randy of Walkertown; three sisters, Elizabeth Suitts of Greensboro, Mozelle Allred of Carlyle, S.C., and Doris Gamble of Summerfield; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
His parents; five brothers; and six sisters, preceded Mr. Michaux in death.
Mr. Michauxs body will be at Forbis and Dick Guilford Chapel until 12:30 p.m. Saturday. The family will be at the residence.
