Betty Jean Zimmerman, 72, of Gettysburg, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Monday, June 22, 2015 at the Brethren Home at Cross Keys Village, New Oxford, PA. Born December 19, 1942 in Greensboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late Walter C. Sr. and B Mary Savanna (Summers) Nooe. Betty was the loving wife of Charles D. Zimmerman III with whom she would have shared 45 years of marriage.
Betty was a graduate of Eastern High School in Baltimore, MD. She was a homemaker and volunteered for many different organizations throughout her life.
In addition to her loving husband, Charles, Betty is survived by three children, Michael D. Bush of Glen Burnie, MD, Charles D. Zimmerman IV of Baltimore, MD, and Brett Jennifer (Zimmerman) Fonseca of Gettysburg, PA; six grandchildren, Charles D. Zimmerman V, Elise Zimmerman, Daniel Bush, Alexandra Bush, Caroline Fonseca, Natalie Fonseca; two step grandchildren, Andrew Fonseca and Joshua Fonseca; and two siblings, Walter C. Nooe Jr. of Pasadena, MD and Denise G. Nooe of Severn, MD.
