Mrs. Lucille Murray Parrish
GREENSBORO — Mrs. Lucille Murray Parrish, 76, of Greensboro, died Friday, March 24, 2000, at her home.
A native of Burlington, she was the wife of the late Mr. Roy Parrish and the daughter of Mr. Clyde Murray and Mrs. Lou Dora Loy Murray, both deceased. She was formerly employed by Fairchild and Western Electric. She later became owner and operator of Roy’s Drive In and Restaurant. She was a member of Shining Light Baptist Church, where she served on the benevolence committee and was voted Mother of the Year in 1999.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Curtis “Donnie” (Wanda P.) Vernon of Walnut Cove and Mrs. Keith D. (Peggy P.) Brown of Greensboro; two sisters, Ms. Hallie McCulloch and Ms. Lillie Robbins, both of Burlington; two brothers, Mr. Luther Murray of Burlington and Mr. Joe Murray of Elon College; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. Sylvester “Ves” Murray.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Shining Light Baptist Church. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park.
The family will be at Shining Light Baptist Church from 6:30 to 8:30 this evening.
