Mrs. Jeannette Nix Mitchell
REIDSVILLE — Mrs. Jeannette Nix Mitchell, 86, formerly of Reidsville, died Friday,
April 21, 2000, at the Masonic and Eastern Star Home in Greensboro.
A native of Hendersonville, she was the wife of the late Mr. Roy H. Mitchell, and the
daughter of Mr. Thomas C. Nix and Mrs. Eunice Williamson Nix, both deceased. She had
lived in Reidsville most of her life. She was a member of Community Baptist Church and
was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Ms. Patricia M. Pearson of Burlington; a sister, Ms. Virgina
N. Garrett of Graham; a brother, Mr. Fred Nix of Gibsonville; four grandchildren; and
seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mr. Roy Mitchell Jr., and a grandchild.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Greenview Cemetery by the
Rev. Jim Dotson.
There will be no visitation.
