Obituary Online notes for Preston WARD
Preston Ward Moorefield, 89, of 1086 Bethesda Church Road, Ruffin, died Thursday, February 21, 2008 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM on Monday, February 25, 2008, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Foster officiating.

Interment will follow in Bethesda Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Moorefield was born in Caswell County and was the last surviving of 14 children of [James] Lester and Lucy [Carolyn Martin] Ward.

She had been a homemaker and a tobacco farmer all of her life.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Adolphus Foster and second husband, Herbert L. Moorefield; 2 grandsons, Brian Keith Foster and Todd Casey Foster.

She is survived by her son, Jim Foster and wife Patsy of Ruffin; grandsons, Tony Wade Foster and wife, Gloria of Ruffin; Rev. James Mark Foster and wife, Phyllis of Reidsville; great grandchildren, Jessica Foster, Cody Foster, Amanda Foster and Christopher Foster.
