We are sad to announce that on July 21, 2023, at the age of 98, Alton Thomas Durham of Greenville, South Carolina, born in Burlington, North Carolina passed away.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles John Durham Sr. and Mary Emily Rich Durham; his wife Mary Ruth Beckom Durham; and his siblings, Mabel J. Wilkins, Bruce Carmel Durham, Edna Wallace Cates, Shrewd Rich Durham, Charles J. Durham Jr. and Ernestene P. O'Baugh.
He is survived by : his sons, Larry Neil (Debora Faulkner) of Greenville, S. C. and Daniel Charles (Pamela) of Greenville, S. C.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 26th 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church (7 Shannon Dr, Greenville, SC 29615). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 26th 2023 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Alton's memory.
