Stephen Michael “Smoke” Danieley
   GRAHAM — Stephen Michael “Smoke” Danieley, age 53, of 213 W. Gilbreath St. passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at Hospice Home.

   A native of Marietta, Ga., he was the son of the late H. Howard and Vernell Cantrell Danieley. He was the building superintendent at the First Presbyterian Church and a former active member of the Alamance Street Rod Assn.

   Survivors include his brother, Dan Danieley and wife Terri of Elon; sister, Joan Danieley of Honolulu, Hawaii; niece, Grace Danieley; nephew, Jacob Danieley and wife Elizabeth; great-niece, Lilly Danieley; and greatnephew, Jaden Danieley; stepmother, Lib M. Danieley of Graham; Andrew Dawson, who was like a son; and all of the children in the Child Development Center of First Presbyterian Church.

   Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church by Dr. Genie Martin and the Rev. Peter Thompson. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. Mr. Danieley will remain at Lowe Funeral Home until taken to the church for services.

   The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday and at other times at the home of Dan and Terri Danieley, 4464 Jimmy Bowles Road, Elon, N.C.

   The family would like to thank the congregation of First Presbyterian Church for the love they shared with Smoke. A special “thank you” from the family for the Hospice staff, especially Karen Robertson, Tina Wrenn and Ruby Atkins, and Janet Hitchens, also Tamar Cofer from Home Instead.

   Memorials may be made to CDC of First Presbyterian Church, 508 W. Davis St., Burlington, N.C. 27215 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
