Eunice F. Simpson
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Eunice Lorena Fogleman Simpson, 91, of 1985 Wheeler Bridge Road, died Sunday, April 7, 2013 after several months of failing health.
Born in Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Early Lewis Fogleman and the late Norvie Leah Huffman Fogleman and was married to the late Robert Henry Simpson Sr., who died in 1998.
She was retired from Dixie Belle Fabrics. Eunice was a member of Frieden’s Lutheran Church and was currently attending Altamahaw Baptist Church. Eunice was an avid quilt maker and was a very outgoing person who loved life.
Mrs. Simpson is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Brown and husband Willard of Gibsonville and Judy Sizemore and husband Allen of Liberty; two sons, Robert Simpson Jr. and wife Wanda and Walter “Bill” Simpson, all of Burlington; 14 grandchildren; 27 greatgrandchildren; 17 greatgreat-grandchildren; and four sisters, Ola Overman, Mae Clapp, Nancy Brown and Ruth Straughn, all of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sons, James Simpson and Ronnie “Frog” Simpson; granddaughter,
Jane Brown; two greatgrandsons, Dustin Walker and Justin Walker; two sisters, Faye Loy and Lucy Moore; and a daughter-in-law, Elvira Simpson.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Steve Tucker. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
