Mrs. Alta Faye Fogelman Loy
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Alta Faye Fogleman Loy, 63, of 1992 Wheeler Bridge Rd. died Sunday, October 19, 2003 at the Hospice Home. She was born in Guilford County, daughter of the late Early and Norvie Huffman Fogleman and was married to Homer N. Loy, who survives. She worked for Bell-South for 35 years and was a member of Faith Bible Chapel.
She is survived by her husband of the home, daughters, Pam Allred and her husband Kenneth of Burlington and Valerie May and her husband Bobby of Yanceyville; sons, Mike Loy and his wife Debbie of McLeansville and Randy Loy and his wife Linda of Whitsett; grandchildren, Stephanie Edwards, Heather Riddle, Trey Riddle, Randy Riddle, Derek Loy, Megan Loy and Jason Loy, and sisters, May Clapp, Ola Overman, Eunice Simpson, Lucy Moore, Ruth Straughn and Nancy Brown, all of Burlington.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Mark Robertson. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM this evening at the funeral home and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215. The family would like to express their very sincere thanks to Mrs. Loy’s special nurse, Marie Minnis.
