Beaumont Civic Leader Dies at Age of 60
William McKeen (Mack) Clapp, 60, a leader and club man, died at his home here at 9:30 a.m. today after a prolonged illness. Long a Beaumont resident, Clapp was a member of Rotary, Round Table club and Country club and was active in all community affairs when his health permitted. In recent years he had made one or more trips to Mayo Brothers clinic at Rochester, Minn. Funeral services will be held at the residence, 2462 Calder avenue, at 2 p.m. tomorrow. The Rev. J. H. Pace, pastor of First Methodist church, will officiate. Interment will be in Magnolia cemetery in charge of Pipkin and Brulin. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Leroy Fulbright; two grandsons, and a sister, Mrs. Tom Lamb, all of Beaumont, and another sister, Mrs. Guy Carroll of Houston. Kelsey Lamb, well known among county printers, is a nephew. 470, William McKean Clapp
