Mrs. Mary Madren Moser
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Mary Madren Moser, 85, a resident of White Oak Manor, died at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at White Oak Manor after four months of failing health. A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Mr. Carl H. Moser Jr., and the daughter of Mr. William Madren and Mrs. Lena Waynick Madren, both deceased. She was former owner and operator of Carl H. Moser Jr., Realty and former real estate agent with McVey Realty. She was a member of First Christian United Church of Christ and former choir member. She was active in the Girl Scouts of America and worked at the scout office. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Margie Snyder of Winston-Salem; and two brothers, Mr. Joe Madren of Burlington and the Rev. Weldon Madren of Concord. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Violet Smith; and four brothers, Mr. Herbert Madren, Mr. Hubert Madren, Mr. Ralph Madren and Mr. Garland Madren. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington by the Rev. Dr. Robert K. Barrows Jr., pastor of First Christian United Church of Christ, and the Rev. Dave Gilbert, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church. Entombment will be in Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will be at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 this evening.
