Louis Gordon Huffman

HICKORY — Louis Gordon Huffman, of Hickory, died Aug. 11, 2003.

Born Nov. 16, 1920 in Alamance County, he was a graduate of Elon University and retired from Superior Continental Corporation.

He was a World War II veteran having served as a B-26 pilot with the 9th Air Force.

He was a member of Corinth Reformed United Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Heller Huffman of the home who were married April 11, 1947; a son, Mark Huffman of Hickory; a daughter, Susan Huffman Stoll of Hickory; and four grandchildren, Amanda Huffman, Andrew Huffman, Leslie Stoll, and Megan Stoll, all of Hickory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Andrew and Elizabeth Whitt Huffman.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Corinth Reformed United Church of Christ in the Althouse Room by the Rev. Bob Thompson. Visitation will follow the service.
