Mr. William G. Lee
GIBSONVILLE — Mr. William G. “Tommy” Lee, 72, of 8355 Parkdale Road, died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after six months of failing health.
A native of Caswell County, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Annie Durham Lee and the son of Mr. James Samuel Lee and Mrs. Mary McCray Lee, both deceased. He retired early from Southern Bell Co. He attended Shiloh United Methodist Church and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cindy Lee Troxler of Gibsonville and Miss Deanie Lee of Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Turner of Burlington and Mrs. Catherine Mullis of Snow Camp; and three grandchildren, Grant Troxler, Leslie Troxler and Seth Troxler.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Mary Willis Lucas; and two brothers, Monroe Lee and Billy Sam Lee.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dr. Guy Soule, pastor of Shiloh United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home immediately following the service, and at other times at the home of a daughter, 8355 Parkdale Road.
