ALBEMARLE Francis "Butch" Clemmer Thompson, 94, died April 12, 2006. Services will be held at a later date. Interment in Stanly Gardens of Memory Columbarium. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is in charge.
Born in Henrietta, NC, he was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps, having fought in World War II. He was an Accountant with Exxon and a member of Central United Methodist Church.
Survivors are a sister-in-law, Shirley Thompson of Boiling Springs, SC; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Isabelle Hornbuckle Thompson, parents, Sidney Locke Thompson and Annie Clemmer Thompson, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. 470, Francis Clemmer “Butch” Thompson
